#marchfitstreak day 6 & marathon training day 2

Day 6 is complete.  Today was marathon training.  Ran 4 easy miles on the treadmill.

Tomorrow is the 2nd Annual Sarah Strong 5k/10k race.  I registered for it back in November and this entire time I thought I registered for the 10k.  It turns out I registered for the 5k.  Fortunately the race director was willing to switch me at the last minute.  Tomorrow is also an 11 mile steady run.  So I’ll run the 10k, hang around for the awards and door prizes and then run the other 5 miles afterwards.

This year, as you already know, my goals are 12 half marathons, 1 full marathon, and 1 triathlon.  But in January, I’m really looking forward to the Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge.  Registration begins April 28th.  I’ve been told by others, that have run Disney races in the past, that it will open at noon that day, and that previous races have sold out in 90 minutes.  Now I’m getting worried.  I really hope I’ll be able to get a spot.

I’ve got 2 of my 12 half marathons for the year completed and have 1 more scheduled yet this month.  I need to get the other 9 figured out and scheduled.  The full marathon I’ve selected is in June, and the Tri that I’ll do is in August.
